Bremen/Germany (Sikora) – A strong wind blows through the market of measurement and control suppliers to the wire, cable and hose markets. Quality combined with minimized failure and cost is demanded more and more. Sikora recognizes the necessity of standardized operating processes and continuously works on an optimization of its business process.
Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the most known norm of all times, ISO 9001, Sikora, worldwide manufacturer of measuring and control devices for the wire, cable and hose markets, celebrates 14 years of ISO certification. Since 1993 the technology company has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and practices quality management to perfection. The company management is committed to the principles of the program and the primary responsibility for daily oversight is the quality control manager Dipl.-Ing. Ulrich Gwinner.
Gwinner continuously analyzes the business processes in the different departments of the company in cooperation with the company management and employees. Through the use of statistical analysis and operational measurements the identification of potential sources of defects can be made. Process improvements then may be implemented to meet the goal of increasing employee consciousness of methodical operating processes and self-dependent quality control. All procedures, at the different company levels should smoothly mesh with improvements systematically initiated. With the ISO 9001 certification Sikora confirms to its customers that the workflows are subject to clear rules and constantly monitored, a check and balance insuring a quality end product.
