Jens Barth becomes Managing Director Sales at SMS Meer GmbH

Düsseldorf/Germany (SMS) – Jens Barth (41) has been appointed as a member of the Board of Management of SMS Meer GmbH, Mönchengladbach, a company of the SMS group, Germany, with effect as of February 1, 2009. He will be responsible for the Sales area. The Board of Management of SMS Meer GmbH thus comprises Dr. Joachim Schönbeck (Chairman), Jens Barth (Sales) and Torsten Heising (Commercial Functions). Jens Barth’s most recent post, from 2000 till the beginning of 2009, was that of Head of the Moscow Sales Office of SMS Demag AG, which is likewise part of the SMS group. He is an engineering graduate (Dipl.-Ing.).
