Innovative Ropes and Rope Applications, 18 to 20 March 2009 in Stuttgart, Germany. In 2009, we will celebrate the 175th birthday of wire rope! The OIPEEC Conference and 24th General Assembly will be held together with the 3rd International Stuttgart Ropedays on March 18 - 20, 2009 in Stuttgart. The theme of the conference will be: Innovative ropes and rope applications – a celebration of 175 years of wire rope. Invited are engineers, scientists, researchers and other people interested in ropes to share their experience, knowledge and opinion with other experts from all over the world. The conference will be held March 18 and 19, 2009, at the "Alte Stuttgarter Reithalle", an old and historic riding facility dating from 1880, which is integrated in the Stuttgart Maritim Hotel and within walking distance from the IFT laboratories.
