Oldbury/UK, (Teknor Apex) – Barry Galpin has joined Teknor Apex UK as European business development manager for the Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) Division. He will be responsible for TPE marketing and oversee sales activity though the network of distributors representing the company's TPE compounds across Europe. He replaces Nick Sandland, who has assumed a new position with the division in the US. Barry Galpin comes to Teknor Apex from Hutchinson Worldwide's Paulstra Division, a manufacturer of anti-vibration, acoustic, insulation, and sealing systems for transportation markets. He joined that company in 1999 as sales manager for automotive anti-vibration products. In 2006 he moved from the UK to Paris to become key account manager of Paulstra's global sales to Renault-Nissan and associated companies. Prior to joining Hutchinson/Paulstra, Galpin worked for 14 years in the automotive sector of the rubber industry for such companies as BTR plc and Avon Automotive. Besides his native English, he speaks French.
