Alongside an impressive array of new technical features such as the 3D Former for spring coiling machines, new measurement techniques and developments in the field of control engineering, Wafios AG will also be showcasing new tooling ideas and solutions as part of its extended product support services portfolio in the form of the new Tool Center launched in 2009. Challenges such as improved energy efficiency we have met with new ideas for drive engineering concepts, for unit-cost-optimized production but also with a whole range of new development details. In the field of environmental engineering, we will unveil for the first time a solution for the economical off-the-coil production of copper serpentine tubes as they are used in the solar industry. With its BMU 50, Wafios will be presenting another first: A high-performance wire bending machine with traversable infeed and cutting unit. This highly flexible machine allows the production of the complete range of standard wire parts while providing high operating convenience, precision and output. Optimized machine concepts for compression and torsion spring coilers will be featuring at the WIRE alongside complete new machine developments. Just one example is the new BM 40 wire bending machine as a major new addition to the BM series. The Wafios FSE 143 is also due to be unveiled for the first time to an international trade fair public at the WIRE. This spring coiling machine is used for the economical production of suspension springs and will be shown in conjunction with a measurement cell from our partner company Aicon. World premieres at the show will include the Wafios Nailmaster, designed to optimize unit costs in the production of wire nails, and also the intelligent pay-off series Wafios AHP, which sets whole new standards in terms of quality and output in the interaction between producing machine and pay-off.
