During last year Lubrimetal developed many new innovative wire drawing lubricants of the range Lubrifil® (dry lubricants) and Lubriol® (wet lubricants) and Steelfor® (pre-coatings) These innovative compounds, suitable for ferrous and non ferrous metals will be presented at wire. Since many many years Lubrimetal has already been limiting the use of boron compounds in its formulations. All our calcium based lubricants Lubrifil® have never contained boron compounds and the great majority of Lubrimetal sodium based lubricants don’t contain borax, at all. To replace on the market lubricants which contain borax, Lubrimetal has just developed a new series of sodium lubricants, of course 100% Borax free. In particular, in addition to the well-known Lubrifil VA 7001, the new Lubrifil VA 7090, Lubrifil VA 7081 and Lubrifil VA 5001 resulted valuable for the wire drawing of high carbon steel (steel cord, springs, PC wire and strand), stainless steel (all applications) and welding wires productions, and for cold heading qualities, too. As alternative to the use of borax in pre-drawing treatments (borax coating), Lubrimetal has also successfully tested two new borax free salt carriers called Steelfor ITS/21 (for all carbon steel grades) and Steelfor 7030 (for stainless steel). These salts are suitable both in-line and batch treatments, too. New lubricants for copper wire drawing: A new generation of emulsifiable lubricant is now available. Our new Lubriol CU 55 and CU 550 are appreciated for their high stability, detergency and, of course, lubricity. New lubricants for Aluminium wire drawing : Our new concept Lubriol ALM 90 is really the best possible compromise between low viscosity and high lubricity.
