The machine is part of a line of cold formers for small production batches with 1 to 3 stations. The machine is fed from a magazine that accepts bars in length of 70mm to 750m. The bars are pushed into the machine until reaching a positive stop. Then the grippers close on the bar and the stopper retracts. The machine heads or extrudes the part and then the grippers open and an extractor removes the parts out of the dies. The VEM models are available with 15 to 200 tons heading force and strokes up to 200mm. The machines are quick change and can be used for small production batches. Extra long bars and bent parts can be manually fed as an option. Fully Automatic U-Bolt machine model VAS-20-DBQ, M-5 to M-12, working from wire coil, with the new Fully Adjustable bending die. Production rates are 50-120 bent bolts per minute and up to 240 straight studs per minute. The VAS-20-DBQ is equipped with Hydraulic Clamping of the threading dies and a Process Control system, that also controls the cut-off length. For small series of production, the machine is optionally equipped with a hand magazine which accepts pre-chamfered and pre-extruded parts made on the other Videx machines. Planetary Thread Roller with a Closed Structure, model VA-20-ES for thread rolling of Automotive quality and Hi-Tensile fasteners. The machine is equipped with Videx’s “Controlled Introduction” system, for rolling Lap-Free threads on any material hardness. Other features include Hydraulic Clamp of the thread rolling dies & Quick Set-Up features. Thread range M-6 to M-16. Production speed up to 640PPM. Straighten, Cut and Chamfer machine, model VC-25-MSR, for wire à˜6-16mm. The length tolerance is absolute, using a positive stop, and there is no limit to the maximum length the machine can cut. The VC line is equipped with stainless steel run-off guide that requires no maintenance and no adjustment when changing from one wire size to another. Length change-over takes seconds. Complete wire change-over is done in 15-20 minutes. Bar-End Turning Cutting machine model VTM with an automatic magazine. The demo unit will demonstrate Videx’s machine capacity and flexibility, from simple chamfer into complex turning operations. The VTM is a Servo operated dual spindle chamfer & turn machine. Hand Feed Chamfer Machine model VCM-75 for wire à˜5-75mm, which is inexpensive and operator friendly. The bars are fed by the operator into a collet, where they are clamped and then chamfered by a moving head. The speed of the chamfer spindle is adjustable by the operator according to wire diameter and hardness. The machine is equipped with an adjustable chamfer head for the entire range of wire diameters within machine range. The chamfer size is accurate and repetitive due to a use of a positive stop through the spindle or an optional sliding stop for hollow parts, which can be faced and chamfered on the ID and OD. The machine works dry without coolant.
