New series of process monitors with 3-dimensional load sensing

A first showing of the newly designed SK series of load monitors will take place at wire. Schwer + Kopka GmbH will introduce this new generation of innovative load monitoring systems for cold headers, multi station cold formers, and thread rollers to the international fastener industry on their stand. The new range includes 5 different models which are all operated with modern touch screen technology. The monitors feature full colour, high resolution graphic displays ranging from 4,3” up to 15” in size. In addition, the industry will see a completely new operating concept which supports the machine user in an unprecedented manner when analyzing and rectifying problems. The monitoring units are also prepared to work with the new hybrid sensors (patent applied for) which are capable of measuring the forming forces in a 3-dimensional way. This unique directional sensitivity offers effective set-up assistance when aligning tools on cold forming machines similar to the die match technology used on thread rollers for quite some time. The series is completed by the new SK 200T low-cost machine data terminal for connection to the “SK-go!®” factory data collection system. This terminal with it’s 4,3” colour touch screen allows users to expand the data collection system to all machines on the shop floor at affordable cost.
