Peter ter Horst appointed CFO Teijin Aramid

Arnhem/Netherlands (Teijin) – Peter ter Horst (44) has been appointed the new CFO of Teijin Aramid. He continues to be part of the Management Team of Teijin Aramid. Ter Horst succeeds Jan Föllings, who has been appointed Director of HR&O (Human Resources & Organization) of Teijin Aramid. Föllings will also be responsible for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Energy) and Corporate Communication. In 2006, Peter ter Horst was appointed Group Controller at Teijin Aramid, after which he also became Strategy Officer of Teijin Aramid in 2008. Ter Horst previously worked in various financial positions at Wellman and AkzoNobel, among others. Teijin Aramid is a division of the Japanese Teijin Group, manufacturing high-quality fibers, including the aramid fiber Twaron at its production sites in Emmen and Delfzijl. Twaron is a fiber that is five times stronger than steel at the same weight. It is heat-resistant and durable and offers innovative applications for a variety of industrial sectors such as defense, automotive, composites, oil & gas and telecoms. One of the latest innovations is the construction of the span and faà§ade of the Stedelijk Museum in which Teijin Aramid’s super-strong aramid fiber Twaron will be used.
