The drawing cones, rings and capstans of Hofmann Ceramic ensure that not even the smallest part impairs production. After all, the saying “the chain is only as strong as its weakest link” applies to wire production as well. Ultimately, each time a tool or guide element has to be replaced, production has to be halted.
Besides drawing tools, the Hofmann Ceramic range also includes wire guides and guide rollers. These are extremely wear-resistant and offer optimum anti-frictional properties.
The abrasive effects of wires running at high speeds can become particularly problematic where extreme changes in direction exert high pressure on the associated guide elements. The wire guides and special guide rollers of Hofmann Ceramic are designed to meet the high industry requirements. They are available for all common drawing and stranding machines. On request, Hofmann Ceramic also manufactures rollers tailored to customer requirements, with the aim of optimising problematic deflection areas, for example.
In addition to the high-tech product zirconium oxide ceramic, Hofmann Ceramic also offers drawing cones made of special steel with ceramic or carbide coating. The range also includes hardened drawing tools for applications subject to thermal shocks. All drawing tools can be reground several times.
