Duesseldorf/Germany (Messe) – With immediate effect Thomas Rudolf Stenzel (45) is taking over as Managing Director at the Messe Düsseldorf GmbH subsidiary in Moscow. He is thus succeeding Norbert Schmidt, who left the company at the beginning of the year to become Managing Director of the Czech subsidiary Veletrhy Brno (BVV). “With the appointment of Thomas Stenzel we are sending out a clear signal of our trust in the Russian trade fair market”, explains Werner M. Dornscheidt, President and CEO Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. Following his commercial training Thomas Stenzel began his professional career in 1986 in the foreign section of today’s Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. In this capacity he gained comprehensive experience, especially in the area of Eastern European trade fair business. As a self-employed entrepreneur he represented the Poznan international trade fair company in Germany and was also responsible for representing Messe München International in Berlin for the Eastern European countries. At the Leipzig trade fair company, he then took charge of foreign marketing and coordination of the foreign representative network.
