Hypertherm’s Centricut brand unveiled new consumables for two Kjellberg HiFocus systems – the 100 and 160i. The addition of these new consumables will benefit people who own a HiFocus 100 or 160i, as they now have another choice when it comes to ordering consumables for their system.
Six new consumables in all – including a gas guiding cap, nozzle cap, and protection cap – will join other HiFocus consumables introduced by Centricut within the last two years.
A HiFocus electrode incorporating Centricut brand SilverLine technology is part of the line-up of already introduced consumables. SilverLine technology involves welding a solid silver tip to a copper base and inserting a hafnium pin into the silver. This creates a strong bond which allows a deep pit depth in the hafnium as the electrode is used. Cost and performance are optimized since silver is only used where it provides a benefit.
Extensive testing shows Centricut technology provides performance that is equal to or better than that available from the original equipment manufacturer at a lower overall operating cost.
