Simufact Engineering GmbH, a leading provider of software and services in the area of bulk metal forming, announced that its booth at wire 2008 in Düsseldorf has drawn the attention of many visitors. Numerous engineers from various industries have visited the company’s booth and have shown a considerable interest in the simulation of bulk metal forming processes. With its new name “Simufact Engineering GmbH”, which was changed from Femutec GmbH in February 2008, the company is building up its brand recognition and demonstrates a closer focus on its core business “Simulating Manufacturing”. At wire, Simufact introduced the new version of Simufact.forming, to be officially released in May this year. Simufact.forming 8.1 offers significant improvements of the graphical user interface, a superior solver technology, a more efficient data exchange with CAD tools, plus the implementation of parallel computing methods, to guarantee short calculation times. Moreover, Simufact informed about its latest news and activities. With the foundation of Simufact-Americas LLC in the USA and a new office at the technology center Metakus in Baunatal, Simufact continues to expand its national and international operations to efficiently support its customers worldwide.
“Globally seen, the need for optimized manufacturing processes is growing immensely“, said Michael Wohlmuth, managing director of Simufact Engineering GmbH. „We have been able to establish numerous new international contacts at wire 2008 and many of our existing customers took the opportunity to get an insight into the new features and possibilities coming up with the new release of our product family.”
Within the Simufact software environment, the user can access different application modules for different production areas. The Simufact Environment includes different software modules, among others Simufact.forming, the module for forming simulation, which has a modular system to be combined individually for every need. Simufact.forming integrates the products MSC.SuperForm and MSC.SuperForge, formerly developed and distributed by MSC.Software and is based on the standards of the MSC.Marc and MSC.Dytran solver technology.
