Nürnberg/Germany (Leoni) – During a presentation at a Caterpillar Supplier Day held in January 2008 Leoni received the “Best Supplier Award” of Caterpillar Building Construction Products Europe for its outstanding quality, supply and customer support performance during 2007. Uwe H. Lamann, Leoni AG’s Management Board member in charge of the Wiring Systems division: “Caterpillar is a key strategic global customer of Leoni’s Wiring Systems division. The award as best supplier proves our excellent performance in the delivery of wiring systems to international commercial vehicles suppliers. We will build on this positive experience and further expand our co-operation.”
In Europe Leoni supports Caterpillar with an engineering and commercial team located in the United Kingdom as well as a manufacturing and supply team located in Guimaraes, Portugal. Besides that, the responsible Commercial Vehicles Business Unit has manufacturing facilities in Mexico, Brazil, China and Romania, from which it supplies global customers in the truck and off-highway market sectors.
