Shanghai/PR China (Teknor Apex) – Teknor Apex Company today signed an agreement appointing Ashland Distribution China to represent the company's vinyl compounds in China, the companies announced jointly during Chinaplas 2008. Teknor Apex is participating in the show through its subsidiaries, Singapore Polymer Corporation (SPC) and Teknor Apex (Suzhou) Advanced Polymer Compounds Co. (Stand W3A01).
A major focus for Ashland will be the medical device market, for which Teknor Apex offers an extensive range of flexible vinyl compounds, noted Bertram M. Lederer, executive vice president of Teknor Apex Company. SPC and Teknor Apex Suzhou both have the capability to manufacture compounds that are identical to those developed by the parent company in the U.S. and are already compliant with regulations widely required in major medical markets.
”Ashland Distribution is a trusted source of branded thermoplastic resins and compounds, operates warehouses in key manufacturing areas throughout China, and draws on extensive international sales experience and technical resources,” said Lederer. “They will play an important role in Teknor Apex's program to provide our Chinese customers with consistent and reliable sourcing of the raw materials they need to succeed in their businesses.”
