Under the motto “Quality assurance and cost reduction in cable production lines”, Sikora is presenting a variety of excellent measuring, controlling and testing equipment at wire Russia 2009. These range from the X-Ray 8000 NXT, for the measurement of a multi-layer wall thickness of high-voltage power cables directly after the extruder crosshead in the CV-tube, to the economical X-Ray 2000, for a precise measurement of the eccentricity, wall thickness, ovality and diameter in insulating and jacketing lines.
In Moscow Sikora is also presenting Centerview 8000, the latest invention for a precise 8-point-eccentricity, 8-point-ovality and 4-axis-diameter measurement, suitable for the production of coaxial cables, LAN-cables as well as automotive and installation wires. In addition, Sikora showcases the 2- and 3-axis diameter gauge heads of the Laser 2000 series and the Lump 2000, for the detection of lumps and neckdowns. “Our devices help to significantly increase quality and productivity of the production lines. We are showing very clearly what Sikora stands for: a wide range of high-quality measuring and control devices which combine outstanding reliability as well as precision, and refinement with regard to cost efficiency”, says Harry Prunk, CEO of Sikora AG.
