Milano/IT (UCIMU) – At just under eight months from the start of EMO Milano 2009, the world exhibition dedicated to the world of metalworking, 1,200 companies have already formalised their attendance applications with options for a net exhibition area of more than 100,000 square metres.
65 percent of companies enrolled for the exhibition come from abroad, currently representing 31 countries. These figures are by no means definitive but nevertheless emphasise the international character of the event viewed as a landmark appointment for the worldwide manufacturing industry.
The organising secretariat is still receiving many attendance applications, joining those of the main brands in all sectors of the production system industry: from metal forming to metal cutting, from auxiliary technologies to robotics, from automation to tools.
“The numerous applications received and the exhibition space already booked,” said Alfredo Mariotti, director of the event, “clearly demonstrate that companies believe in EMO Milano 2009 as a vital occasion for meeting world demand for production systems”.
“In any case," Mariotti added, "the complexity of the world market situation and the difficulties caused by the financial crisis on the real economy have especially impacted small-medium companies. This has encouraged us to implement special initiatives that will equally allow smaller organisations to grasp the opportunities offered by attending EMO Milano 2009”.
Smaller Italian and international companies will be able to attend the exhibition thanks to a special package named EMO All Inclusive embracing show area, promotional material, handling, services and numerous other special offers.
Thanks to agreements implemented with Mediocredito Italiano S.p.A. and Centro Leasing S.p.A., moreover, Italian exhibitors will benefit from special finance plans to facilitate coverage of expenses in order to attend EMO Milano 2009.
Promoted by CECIMO, the European Committee for Co-operation of the Machine Tool Industries, and organised by EFIM-Ente Fiere Italiane Macchine, a subsidiary of UCIMU-Sistemi per Produrre, the Italian association of machine tool, robot and automation manufacturers, EMO Milano 2009 will be held in the capital of Lombardy next 5 to 10 October. Further information about the event and related initiatives is available through the internet site www.emo-milan.com.
