Hamburg/Germany (Simufact) – Simufact Engineering GmbH, a leading provider of software and services in the area of bulk metal forming, announced today, that the 11th RoundTable will take place in Bamberg, October 13th and 14th, 2009. Based on many years of success and tradition the previously German speaking conference will now broaden its focus to also include the company´s international customers. This year, the conference will be bilingual, with simultaneous translation services for German-English and English-German, when requested by attendees. This new approach offers international customers and interested engineers the possibility to learn more about applications in different regions and to establish transnational contacts. Due to the expansion of the traditionally German speaking RoundTable, Simufact expects this year a multitude of presentations from all over the globe. The conference will be rounded off by an evening event, giving participants the opportunity to network with colleagues and to exchange information in an informal atmosphere.
Following the official part of the conference, there will be a "Technical Session" on the second day. During this workshop, Simufact will traditionally present the software’s new functions and features and will lead a discussion on the direction of future developments and new industry trends.
"Within the last ten years, the RoundTable has established itself as an important information platform and networking opportunity for the forming industry in Germany. This year, to broaden the circle of visitors and to address the company’s growing international orientation, the RoundTable will offer an exchange platform also to our international customers," said Michael Wohlmuth, managing director of Simufact GmbH. "With Bamberg as the traditional conference location, we are able to meet the demand of our strong German customer base for a regional conference. With the bilingual approach, we are also happy to invite our international customers to contribute to the success of the RoundTable with interesting papers and to get input for their own development tasks. As in previous years, Simufact will use the conference as a platform to provide participants with information on current trends and future developments of our products.
Last year’s conference gathered more than 120 attendees. About 20 presenters demonstrated their manufacturing processes, which were optimised with the simulation software Simufact.forming. For the 2009 conference, users from various industry sectors worldwide are now called to submit their presentations in the field of simulation of massive forming to contribute to the success of the 11th RoundTable.
