Functions on plain shaft
Zurück
For controlled, backlash-free linear movements, Uhing developed the drive nut with fixed pitch. This solution proved to be particularly successful as a compact axle drive in measuring devices. Both rolling ring drives and drive nuts can be freely displaced on the shaft and manually set into the desired position by actuating the release lever.
Uhing not only takes care of nearly lossless movement but also of preventing movement on plain shafts. For this purpose, the company developed the U-Clip, a tool-less clamping element for vibrationresistant fastening on a shaft. The Easylock fast-action clamping system featuring high clamping forces can fix elements on a shaft so that high torques can be transmitted. Another benefit for the user is its tool-less single-handed operation and the axially symmetrical, vibration-resistant function of the products.
The comparably low-priced plain shafts not only can be ordered at the exact length required for the application in question but also trimmed without any problem and even machined if required. Their lack of threads also makes them extremely unsusceptible to soiling.
