Highly sophisticated multi-wire springs

Multi-wire springs by Dr. Werner Röhrs are highly sophisticated technical products. They are employed wherever single-wire springs of round or profiled wire would normally fail due to high impact loads and frequencies. Because of the types of stranding the multi-wire spring has increased spring power and reduced torsional stresses compared to single-wire springs.
The tensile stresses in the cross-section of the wire weaken the destructive torsional stresses and thus increase the damping effect.
The benefits of multi-wire springs include – absorbing high shock speeds and peak loads – absorbing high load frequencies – excellent damping properties – thermoplastic coating optimises the damping and guide characteristics, as well as the service life – optimum utilisation of the material over the cross-section of the wire strand by converting torsional forces into tensile forces – high operational safety, as the spring force is virtually unaffected by breakages within the strand – long operating strokes even with small outer diameters – flat progressively rising characteristic when approaching the solid length.
