Hydraulik crimping pliers for connecting two wires ends
Zurück
Friedrich Petig GmbH has produced a solution for the connection of two wires with the help of a short length of tubing. The tubing must of course meet the requirements as the wire is stained or annealed.
The well-known hydrocut steel cutters are very well suited to this application. Instead of shearing blade, crimping tools are employed which are providing with a tooth-shaped crimping edge. Prior to the crimping, the connection tubing is pushed over the wire-end of one coil and the start of the second coil. Then the hydrocut, in this case model HC 530-3W, is used to apply two crimping actions and the connecting is ready. A tension test has shown that 25 to 30kN can be achieved depending on the strength of the wire and the penetration depth reached in the crimping action. The crimping pliers and the hydraulics can be supplied as a mobile unit.
