Altdorf, CH/Swindon, UK (Dätwyler) – Dätwyler Cables announced that Paul Cattell was appointed as the new Managing Director of Datwyler (UK) Ltd. and runs the Swindon-based company since April 15. Paul Cattell (39) is responsible for the strategic direction of Datwyler UK, will be the company’s figurehead for public, customer and partner relations purposes and will be in charge of financial and operational issues. He reports to Markus Grüter, Head of Market Region 1 at Dätwyler Cables in Switzerland
Paul Cattell has held various Sales and Senior Management positions in cabling, systems and blue chip companies. Before he joined Datwyler UK, he worked for Draka Comteq since 1999. As Sales Director UK and Ireland he was responsible for sales of the company’s complete product portfolio, including telecom and multimedia solutions, also directing the team of Area Sales Managers and deciding routes to market. His former positions at Draka, part of which was formerly Alcatel Optical Fibre Division, include Sales Manager UK, Market Manager and Business Development Manager for both, copper cables and fibre optic solutions. From 1994 to 1999 he worked for the cable manufacturer and distributor Oskar Lapp Ltd. Former positions in sales also include electronic component and electrical distribution companies.
