Condat acquired Henkel wire drawing activity

Chasse-sur-Rhône/FR (Condat) – Condat and Henkel have reached the closing date of the agreement giving Condat possession of the Henkel wire drawing lubricant business.
Condat, established in 1854, has been present in the wire drawing market for over 40 years and thanks to Condat’s international network (three production units, eight commercial subsidiaries and a sales network covering over 70 countries) the Vicafil range is well known as the worldwide leading trademark.
Due to Henkel’s technology, its worldwide presence and product range together with the experience of its personnel, this acquisition was seen as a perfect opportunity for Condat to further grow its core business, and increase turnover by EUR 10M.
The transaction involves production equipment including Pellets technology, allowing the manufacture of soaps that generate no dust.
In addition, Condat will also supplement its renowned Vicafil range with famous brand names such as Steelskin, Galvasmooth, Stearlube and Steagel, and thus complimenting valuably its line of products.
Ultimately, the deal will strengthen Condat’s position as the world leader in the wire drawing soap lubricant activity.
Through this purchase, Condat shows its determination to invest in its core business in order to offer the wire drawing industry choice, quality, innovation, technical expertise and worldwide presence for its customer satisfaction.
