DSE A/S in Horsens, Denmark, continues to create innovative solutions for the wire industry. Last year DSE introduced a new range of High Voltage Continuity (HVC) testers. Now DSE added a new type of HVC tester made for rectangular wire – HVC 360 PF Flexible – which is the first in the world.
Because of the fast-growing demand for rectangular wire, DSE has now met its customers’ request to deliver a test solution for rectangular wire. “We look forward to presenting this new solution which is based on the same successful technology we used in the HVC360 Flexible”, says Mr. Knudsen, Product Manager at DSE.
The HVC tester is a highly useable tool for adjusting the processes and surveying the production of enamelled wire. “The manufacturers of enamelled wire will experience a rapid payback on their investments because of improved quality, higher prices, reduced scrap, and, last but not least, more satisfied customers” says Mr. Knudsen.
The high voltage control circuit is designed with an advanced current control system to avoid sparks damage of the wire insulation or electrode system. Based on the most advanced software platform currently on the market, the HVC test system is applicable for testing all types of wire insulation with a test voltage up to 6 kV. The use of conductive brushes makes it possible to make a full 360º test of the surface in a gentle manner.
