PolyOne Corporation announced the launch of its recently developed TPE-V grades dedicated to the specific demands of the wire and cable industry.
OnFlex-V 2000, 2100, 2400 and 2600 are the trade names for PolyOne’s new comprehensive product families of thermoplastic elastomer compounds, based on TPE-V (polyolefin phase with a cross-linked EPDM dispersed into it) that will match the demanding requirements in this market segment.
These new grade ranges include four new TPE-V families for wire and cable applications: OnFlex-V 2000 for standard extrusion applications, OnFlex-V 2100 including a high UV-resistance grade for outdoor extrusion applications, OnFlex-V 2400 including copper and heat stabilization grade for insulation applications ,and OnFlex-V 2600, the flame retardant grades also suitable for insulation and jacketing applications. All colored grades use non-cadmium colorants and meet the latest RoHS requirements.
