Düsseldorf/Germany (Messe Düsseldorf) – Four months to go to the international trade fair in Düsseldorf. The leading international trade fairs wire, International Wire and Cable Trade Fair, and Tube, International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair, are continuing to grow. Both fairs will be held jointly for the eleventh time now – at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 31 March to 4 April 2008. For the first time now Metav, International Trade Fair for Manufacturing Technology and Automation, will accompany the trade fair duo making Düsseldorf the global forum for these three growth sectors for five days in spring 2008.
Already at this early stage, i.e. seven months before the fairs open, organisers have registered a marked increase in the exhibition space being reserved by many European exhibitors. This is a clear indication that manufacturers from “traditional” industrialised nations will again be flying their flags more prominently in Düsseldorf. Likewise, their overseas competitors have ‘revved up’, too: space reservations by firms from the USA and Asia have also risen.
Large groups of exhibitors at wire have traditionally come not only from Asia and USA but also from Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and Germany. For Tube growth is primarily accounted for by companies from India, China, Italy and Turkey. The focal industries addressed by wire are wire, cable and fibreglass machinery, spring production, metal forming and wire and cable. 37,000 experts, 22,000 of these from abroad, are expected over the five days of the exhibition. wire will be held in halls 9 to 14.
For Tube the organisers expect approximately 850 companies to exhibit on 34,000 square metres net exhibition space. About 29,000 visitors, 14,500 of these international guests, are expected to attend the Tube halls 6 to 8b. Focal ranges here will include all types of machinery for tube and pipe making and working, raw materials and pipes/tubes based on various materials.
In addition to an international trade press stand for wire, Tube and Metav at the North Entrance concourse, there will be an Internet Lounge on the second floor of hall 7. Here impromptu visitors will also have an opportunity to gather information on site on the company profiles and focal exhibitors’ ranges prior to holding talks at the exhibition stands.
The concurrent holding of these two trade fairs with Metav, the International Trade Fair for Manufacturing Technology and Automation, will benefit the exhibitors and visitors of all three events. Great synergies will be generated for the industrial visitor target groups. Metav exhibitors will occupy halls 1 to 5 and 15 to 17.
For the five days of the three trade fairs Messe Düsseldorf and VDW – the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (as organisers of Metav) – expect over 100,000 visitors from all over the world at the Düsseldorf Exhibition centre.
