Hamburg/Germany (Simufact) – Simufact, a leading provider of software and services in the area of bulk metal forming, announced today the formation of its Solver Development Center in Detroit, Michigan. The team is led by industry veteran Gary Huang, who joined Simufact-Americas LLC on July 1st.
The new Solver Development Center will focus on enhancing and adding technologies in the solvers that are specific to manufacturing applications. There will be a close link to the MSC.Software development to improve, customize, and support existing solver technologies including the Finite Element and Finite Volume solvers. All Simufact customers will benefit from this centre of competence, having their manufacturing needs better represented in standard solver technology provided by MSC.Software.
"We are thrilled to have won Gary Huang to lead the solver development team for Simufact.forming”, said Arjaan Buijk, Managing Director, Simufact-Americas LLC. "Under a partnership agreement with MSC.Software, we are enhancing the underlying solver technology of MSC.Dytran and MSC.Marc for metal forming applications, and since Gary has over 20 years experience in Finite Element Solver development as a key developer of MSC.Marc and the development manager of MSC.SuperForm, he is the perfect person to lead this initiative.”
"As the Solver Development Center will be fully dedicated to manufacturing solutions, we expect a lot of manufacturing specific solver improvements in the near future", said Dr. Hendrik Schafstall, managing director and CTO, Simufact Engineering GmbH. "Based on the many years of experience in solver development, Gary Huang and his team will drive future innovations and application specific improvements to our solver technology."
