The Siemens Industry Automation Division has added new functions to its “Simatic PC DiagMonitor” diagnostics and alarm software for industrial PCs in networked systems. The new Version 4.0 of this software now also monitors Simatic PC Compact Flash memory media. The new “Web business card” notifies users via the Internet browser about important information and the status of the Simatic PCs. The new “Silent Installation” function enables the software to be installed easily via the command line. In addition, the user interface has been redesigned in the Windows Explorer style to be even clearer and more user-friendly.
