Aston/Pennsylvania, USA (Maguire) – Maguire Products, Inc. has promoted Frank Kavanagh to the position of vice president of sales. Kavanagh will be responsible for Maguire’s sales activities worldwide and will directly supervise agents and distributors in the U.S., Latin America, and Australia, regions not served by the company’s Canadian, European, and Asian subsidiaries. “Frank brings to this new position more than two decades of experience serving international users of plastics equipment,” said B. Patrick (Pat) Smith, vice president of marketing and sales. “He has played an important role in the strong growth of our sales during the past ten years and has led the commercialization of some of our most successful new products, such as the LPD(TM) vacuum dryer, the MGF(TM) gravimetric feeder, the MaxiBatch(TM) blender, and LineMaster(TM) extrusion control.” Frank Kavanagh joined the plastics industry in 1988. For thirteen years he worked for blow molding equipment manufacturer Jomar Corp. and was the company’s national sales manager when he left to join Maguire in 2001. Prior to this new position, he has served Maguire as regional sales manager and then as national sales manager. Kavanagh holds a degree in business administration from Ocean County (New Jersey) College. He has served on the national board of SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association and is a member of SPI’s Equipment Council.
