voestalpine Stahl Austria is new service partner of Keller MSR
Ibbenbüren/Germany (Keller) – The MSR Division of Keller HCW GmbH is a leading manufacturer of instruments and system solu-tions for non-contact temperature measurement in a wide range of industrial applications. Together with their distributor Sensotec headquartered in Graz, Keller MSR has been successful on the Aus-trian market for many years now. Numerous Keller MSR instruments and systems have been installed at industrial plants over the years. In order to provide expedient calibration support services for Keller products, Keller MSR deci-ded to enter a collaborative agreement with the Technical Services Department (B4) of voestalpine Stahl GmbH Austria. Keller MSR officially presented voestalpine Stahl GmbH with a certificate, estab-lishing voestalpine as an authorized service partner of Keller MSR. In his speech, Albert Book, Director of the Keller MSR Division – Infrared Temperature Solutions – pointed out the services which voestalpine’s Technical Service Department provides. Besides having expert knowledge on the equipment purchased from Keller MSR, they assist in installation and commis-sioning and perform testing and calibration. Their expertise helps to ensure that the steel products manufactured by voestalpine Stahl GmbH maintain the highest quality standards. Horst Wirth , who is in charge of sensor technology, emphasized that quality assurance is a high priority at voestalpine. To that end, all employed equipment and sensors must be tested and calibrated on a regular basis, to ensure their precision and accuracy. Helmut Gruber, Director of the Technical Services Department, stressed the importance of choosing the right supplier. Voestalpine doesn’t settle for the first supplier that comes along nor do they opt for the least expensive instrument – voestapline focuses on the overall concept and long-term costs. That is why Keller MSR wished to consolidate this collaboration by naming voestalpine Stahl as their authorized and certified partner to carry out calibration and repair services. At their laboratory, which is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation including a modern calibra-tion furnace, voestalpine Stahl is able to perform calibration and repair work on a wide variety of py-rometers for applications ranging from room temperature to 1600 °C. A team of skilled professionals supports steel production operations by advising on the ideal pyrometer for the specific application as well as providing technical assistance with start-up and commissioning. Keller MSR is especially grateful for the feedback received from Heinrich Kronlachner (first from right), specialist engineer in charge of the calibration laboratory. As an interface between the manufac-turers of measurement instruments and the facility operators who put these instruments to use, Kronlachner helps to ensure that ideal solutions to the measurement tasks can be created. Kronlachner’s expertise and experience have continually helped Keller MSR in the R&D of their products.
