Reconditioning die working equipment

February 2018 — At “wire” fair in Dusseldorf, Austrian Eder Engineering will present latest developments in drawing die-tool working machines, allowing the users to benefit longer life of the dies and higher tonnage drawn.

Eder-Austria will present its solutions at “wire” Dusseldorf. Some examples will be showcased life by the staff and on a video wall such as
- “ETC-1/HF”, a tungsten carbide die grinding and polishing equipment with a work range of between 0.70mm up to 20mm diameter.
- Particularly for refurbishing of the continuously growing quantity of PCD dies in use at multi-wire drawing machines, an n ultrasonic machine with two workstations has been developed. “USP-Twin” efficiently works all die-sizes in a large range between 0.05mm up to 8.0mm dia. It can be operated by one only person, same time doubling output.
- “ETC-2 LS” sizes and polishes tungsten carbide dies in the larger bore size range between 1.0mm up to 40mm dia. The larger version “ETC-3L” even works round Tc dies with bigger bore-sizes up to 70mm dia.
Additionally, some special die-workshop ancillary devices and other machines also will be demonstrated.

The presented technology offers longer life of the dies and a higher tonnage drawn, an accurate reconditioning of the die, durability with minimal maintenance costs, lower operational cost; reduction of manpower - due to high degree of automation built-in – and an easy operation. Eder Engineering’s die-tool processing machines repair or produce ultra hard tungsten carbide-, diamond-, PCD precision die-tools.
